Fielding awards

These awards for fielding in top-tier baseball made their debut in 2008, which is the first season for which fielding statistics were broken down by position. The awards are made based on a number of factors indicating value to the awardee's team, including playing time, chances fielded, fielding average, and a subjective assessment of range. Rather than separating the outfield into the different positions, three general outfielding awards are made. No award is made for pitchers' fielding.

In addition to the awards tabulated above, the availability of catcher-specific fielding stats between 2003 and 2007 (games played, stolen bases conceded, runners caught stealing, and passed balls) made it possible to retrospectively extend the list for catcher awards by five seasons, as follows. 2007: Andy Kulina (CRP); 2006: Craig Perry (CRP); 2005: Wesley Tim (CRP); 2004: Chris Lange (WNB); 2003: Ryan Trask (BBL).

LNM = London Mets; MBU = Mildenhall Bulldogs; NAT = Harlow Nationals; RCF = Richmond Flames;
